How can I increase recording time?
From Luxor Help
The amount of time the DVR can record is dependent upon several things. Changing any of these factors can result in more record time:
- Hard drive size. Increased hard drive size allows more video to be recorded.
- Adjust the frame rate. Most systems default to a high frame rate for best quality. The frame rate can be decreased to extend record time. This is a good option for low traffic areas and for times when relevant footage is unlikely.
- Adjust the resolution and quality settings. By lowering the resolution and quality settings, the DVR records less data, thus increasing total record time. As a result, the recorded pictures become smaller and are of a lesser quality.
- Use Motion-activated recording to obtain more relevant footage.
