Symptoms

My DVR is not detecting the hard drive

Solution

Clear the Hard drive

1. Enter [MENU] > [CONFIGURATION] > [HDD MANAGMENT] > [HDD SETUP]
2. Under [HDD CLEAR] press enter to clear the hard drive
3. Enter the password or just press [ENTER] if you have not set up a password for the DVR
4. Press [MENU] 4 times to exit the menu screen completely

The record light should now be on. Also try turning the DVR off and then back on then follow the steps above.
