Accepted Payment Methods

The following payment methods are accepted by Luxor Direct:

Credit Card

Luxor Direct encourages individual and business account customers to pay by major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express). All phone orders are processed by direct credit card transaction. The company is capable of receiving credit card payments over the telephone, through the company's purchasing web site(s), and through eBay. Credit card is the preferred method of payment for the following reasons:

  • Transaction Speed - Credit card payments typically take only a couple minutes at most to complete. Timely payment helps to ensure timely processing of customer orders and, by extension, quicker shipping.
  • Security - Presently, there are typically several levels of financial protection offered by credit card companies and issuing banks. Customers purchasing from a one of the company's purchasing web sites are encouraged to evaluate Luxor Direct's multiple security registrations (GeoTrust | ScanAlert).
  • Flexibility, Ease of Use - Credit card payments offer a high degree of flexibility. As customer needs change, so too can their balance due. A credit card payment can provide the customer with the freedom to make last-minute order and shipping changes.
  • Paying with Credit Card by Phone - All credit card payments made over the phone are authorized for the subtotal amount. When the customer's order ships out, that authorization is then collected and payment is completed.
  • Paying with Credit Card over the Website: All credit card payments made through website purchases are processed instantly by PayPal Merchant Services.

PayPal

Luxor Direct is a verified premier member of PayPal with many hundreds of validated and secured transactions. Customers with a PayPal account can choose a variety of payment options and shipping addresses. PayPal is the preferred method of payment when purchasing from the CloseoutCCTV eBay store. Because PayPal can directly withdraw money from a business or personal bank account, and then send those funds to Luxor Direct, it is effectively the same as a wire transfer, but generally without the downtime of waiting for funds to clear.

Bank Transfer, Wire Transfer

Methods such as bank to bank money transfers and Western Union wire transfers are also accepted. Though paperless and relatively quick to initiate, money transfers can take many business days to clear depending on the banks involved. A wire transfer and Luxor Direct's bank information can be requested by the customer.

Cashier's Check, Money Order

Prepaid forms of cash like cashier's checks and money orders are accepted. These payment methods offer some degree of tracking and security, but can also be lost in transit or take several days to reach the company by mail. Some cashier's checks maybe be subject to a two week holding period after deposit.

Personal and Business Checks

Personal and business checks are accepted payment methods, but suffer from the same drawbacks as money orders. An additional drawback is that the check must clear before the customer's order can be processed. All checks are subject to a 7 day hold after deposit.

  • Electronic Check - Electronic checks, or E-checks, are only accepted through PayPal.

Cash

Luxor Direct keeps no cash on hand. On a case by case basis, local customers may be permitted to pickup their order locally. In all cases, local pickup requires cash payment and customers are asked to either bring exact change or accept store credit as change. Local customers are also encouraged to contact Luxor Direct prior to paying cash so that the proper tax can be calculated.

Payment Methods Not Accepted

  • COD (Cash on Delivery)
  • PTP (Promise to Pay), I.O.U., or Promissory Note
